Position:
Site management and supervision of plant modifications to existing equipment and pipework systems
and utilities on an oil handling and treatment facility.
Duties include:
Co-ordination with site pipeline engineer to ensure smooth interface with
existing operations for construction activities phased within an operating
facility. Planning & control of all activities to minimise production impact.
Safety management to site procedures, standards and best industry
practice. Implement the CDM Construction Plan. Conducting Safety auditing,
inspections, inductions, permits, method statements, risk assessments,
near miss reporting, motivation & discipline.
Prepare work packs and management of change documentation. Prepare scopes of work and review design documents.
Site planning, procedures, look-aheads, inter-trade co-ordination,
progress monitoring and programme reporting.
Quality management, inspections, documentation, testing & handover.
Control costs and variations in accordance with change controls procedure.
Ensure excellent teamwork and communications with site.
Experience required:
Specific and extended experience in Oil and Gas industry is essential
Minimum of 8 years experience of managing contractors and
construction works including significant time in oil & gas.
Mechanical background with good technical experience of oil & gas pipework
standards and installation.
Must have strong technical ability to resolve technical queries at site.
Experience and high level of safety awareness and full familiarity with CDM 2007.
Qualifications:

Mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline to HND or above.

Construction management qualification desirable.

SMSTS, NEBOSH (General or Construction), IOSH Managing Safely or
- other recognised safety training.
